UEFA to Draw 2026 World Cup Qualifiers on December 13 in Zurich
UEFA will hold the draw for the 2026 World Cup qualifying phase on December 13 in Zurich, Switzerland. This World Cup, hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, will be the first with 48 teams, 16 of which will come from Europe.
The European qualifiers will begin in March 2025 and end in March 2026. Teams will be divided into 12 groups of 4 and 5 teams, with home and away matches. Group winners will qualify directly, while second-place teams and four additional teams will compete in a playoff for the remaining spots.
The 2026 World Cup, taking place from June to July, will be an exciting global event, with matches held across 16 cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
